Open photos from the launchpad or the applications folder. The icon will appear in the dock. Right click the icon and select "options>keep in dock"

Menu toolbar I'm suddenly not able to view the toolbar (normally on left side) in my Photos app on my Mac. I can only view it if I go into full screen mode. I don't see anything in the menu on top that would resolve that. Suggestions?

Disappearing screenshot My screenshots appear on my desktop but then in 3 seconds disappear. I have a MacBook Pro. 2020. This has been going on for awhile but I am just now finding it annoying enough to put it out there. Any ideas where I can find my runaway screenshots? I did the System Prefs/Keyboard/Shortcuts/Screenshots thing and deleted all defaults and then rechecked all defaults, and this STILL didn't solve the issue. Any ideas?

Did you just install a system upgrade? If you saved an alias to Photos on your Desktop it might have been removed, because it applied to an earlier version of Photos. Using the Dock is safer.
