AppleTV confirm broken

Apple TV - I hit ‘confirm with Apple device’ and nothing happens - everything is on the same network, tv and phone both running 15 or higher - updates all current

  • Do both devices also have the same Apple ID active? You can’t confirm for other users/accounts (obviously).
  • Apple TV should be signed in for the Store and for iCloud. Not being signed in for iCloud would break this feature. Not sure if it would work if Store and iCloud account are different (probably not).
  • Apple TV might have multiple accounts, and the matching account should be active.
  • Do you get the notification on iPhone? If so, click that to continue.
