External Monitor 30 Hz – DSC not working anymore

Display Stream Compression (DSC) seems to be no more supported by my MacBook Pro 16" (2019, AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8 GB) running macOS Monterey. This is resulting in 30 Hz refresh rate when external monitors with USB C hubs are in use. DSC is still working perfectly fine when booting macOS Catalina on the very same machine and the monitor is running with 60 Hz again.

Is this a known bug or are there any workarounds?

I found different threads in other forums confirming the issue, which seems to be limited to the combination of Intel based hardware and macOS Monterey (potentially Big Sur as well).

Thanks
