Turn magic keyboard off so child doesn’t press buttons.

Hey,

We have an iPad with a magic keyboard case. I want to let my daughter watch a film but she presses the keyboard. Is there a way to turn the keyboard off?

Thanks

Hi there cathryn65,

If you are trying to disable the keyboard while your daughter watches a film, we would recommend enabling Guided Access.

Guided Access limits your device to a single app and lets you control which features are available. You can turn on Guided Access when you let a child use your device, or when accidental gestures might distract you.

This information as well as how to set up this feature is located here:

Use Guided Access with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

We hope that helps!
