LOGO in signatures

I have seen similar posts but no actual answer.

In MAIL, the signature is fine until you want to add your logo, which becomes distorted and huge. Like crazy huge that sometimes it doesn't even fit the window and I have to delete it completely as this is hurting my brand and looks nothing professional.

With every other system and even on my phone, I am able to display the signature as it should, and it looks perfect and professional. MAIL is the only system that makes no sense.

Dragging or copying & pasting the logo makes no difference. The result is always the same.

If there seems to be no option to resolve this issue, I would have to give up altogether and use another system that works for me.

It looks like they removed the link even though it directly answered you question which is allowed in their rules.

Anyway.

  1. Open up your logo using the Preview Option.
  2. Click on Tools on the menu bar and then select Adjust Size.
  3. Put 72 into "Resolution". The drop down menu beside it says pixels/inch.
  4. Start with 75 in "Height". In the menu beside Width and Height make sure it says "pixels. You can adjust the height if you want it larger or smaller. The width will adjust automatically.
  5. The "Fit into" menu should say "Custom"
  6. Scale proportionally and Resample image should both be checked.
  7. Click on OK. Make sure it is saved.
  8. Drag your resized logo from the Finder window to the signature window.

That worked for me and I don't know why.
