That Mac can't create a WiFi network and use a WiFi network at the same time.
I also don't understand what the point would be. If there is a WiFi network available, just connect to it directly.

There are two scenarios when I need it( they are a bit tricky tbh and both related with embedded network development).
Hope I was manage to describe the scenarios more or less :)
