same here. for some reason today safari decided to switch my default autofill email address and I can’t get it to switch back. Apple’s IM tech support was a joke - clearly didn’t even understand what the issue WAS, let alone how to fix it. had to do all this on my own and NOTHING is working.
here are the steps:
on iphone 13:
updated to latest ios
first try:
changed autofill contact
turned off autofill
deleted all other email accounts on contact card
changed autofill contact back
cleared history
restarted iphone
second try:
deleted entire contact card
manually re-entered
deleted offending email address from mail accounts
cleared history
changed autofill contact card
restarted phone
third try using alternate device:
changed safari preferences on macbook
restarted macbook
manually entered the email address I want
deleted the other one.
changed from “email” to “home”
the email address that is autofilling shouldn’t even be accessible anymore! It’s literally NOT in my contacts, not in my personal info, not even an account my mail app can access. everything has been cleared and restarted multiple times.
when i hit an email field only the address I want to use is suggested, so it makes zero sense that the other address keeps populating when i use autofill.
Why is this happening?!
