Carrier may charge SMS message

This message keeps popping up on my phone so often that every half an hour I need to restart my phone to even be able to use it at all. Clicking cancel or ok doesn’t make any difference, the message will immediately pop up again, not leaving me enough time to close a window or click anything else on the screen.

I tried updating the phone, disabling iMessage, FaceTime - nothing helped. Then the same message appears, but this time mentioning iCloud.

My phone is completely useless like this, I need a real fix very soon.

If it still occurs after this do call your cell service provider and ask them to re-provision your account.

You don't have the option of not using it that much. You need to turn off iMessage and FaceTime permanently and never use them. Try this: Turn them both off and restore your iPhone from your backup. I assume you do have a texting plan on your iPhone?

The provisioning on your iPhone may have been incorrectly applied. That message normally appears when you are using a carrier that is not affiliated with Apple and thus charges for the required texts to activate iMessage and FaceTime.

Exactly! I turned iMessage and FaceTime off (am not using them that much) hoping that would solve the problem, and yes, I restarted my phone several times (I am forced to as it gets unusable because of the message constantly popping up). But nothing helped.

And ask them what? My problem is not that I might be charged by my carrier, my problem is the annoying message that keeps coming up so fast that it blocks my phone and I have to restart it every half an hour.

my husband uses the same carrier, no problem.

Not if your iPhone has previously used iMessage and people are trying to send you iMessages. Are you saying you don't want to use iMessage and you have turned it and FaceTime off and restarted your iPhone?

wouldn’t then disabling iMessage and FaceTime or clicking the OK button solve the problem?

As I did not use them very often (I use Telegram and Whatsapp for messaging) I switched them both off in the settings. I do have a texting plan as well.

I’ll try restoring from backup. Thanks!

Even iCloud seems to be a problem. I can’t switch that off.

Again, I think there is an issue with your account. But if you are not going to use all of these things why not sell your iPhone and get an android model?
