I used the steps listed above for a iPad without a home button and the screen stays the same

My iPad is frozen and has a screen that says to plug it into my computer and I followed the steps from the website the screen gave me and the screen did not change. What do I do?

Those are indeed the right direction for the screen you see. Sometimes it can take more than one try. If after a few tries however, If you are unable to get the directions to work, schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar and let Apple help you personally.
