Did anyone really find anything reasonably substantial about FREE APPLE TV? I only found pretty much the opportunity to pay for the content? Did I not look correctly for the free content? $1,299.00 for an iPad and Free-TV?
There is NO free Apple TV. Your free trial is for Apple TV+ which contains only Apple produced original content. Apple TV+ does not give you free access to anything you find on the Apple TV app. You have a misunderstanding of what the free trial is offering. Apple TV+ has movies, series, documentaries, special events, all of which are produced by Apple itself. So, in another words, you will not find old movies, current movies, etc. Apple TV+ content is award winning. The movie CODA, presented by Apple, won this year’s Best Picture award at the Oscars.
Again, Apple TV+ is the free trial you were offered. It is not like Netflix, HBO, Amazon Prime, or other streaming services. If it’s not what you thought it was then don’t renew when your free trial expires.

If you mean the free trial, that is for Apple TV+ (note the "+") -- the subscription streaming service only.

First go to "TV+" in Apple TV. Everything there is included in the streaming subscription for no additional fee.
I didn't find anything substantial free, maybe because I am not Apple competent, and the application is possibly not user friendly, and simple stupid. Since I have purchased another new iPad, I may be able to look again for the mystery Free Apple TV. I will definitely not pay Apple for the abilities to pay for the Apple content. Any application to purchase should in my opinion be free, not sold as free.
Seems like everything that I click on has an opportunity to pay.
Why advertise as FREE? Yes, I canceled. Apple should be ashamed.
