Gift old iPhone overseas I would like to gift my old iPhone to a friend overseas in a developing country. I have seen the thread with the instructions to clear my phone so they can't access my data, but I'm not sure how to tell if they will actually be able to use the phone with a local SIM? Thanks

Nothing to stop you, but they will have no repair or service options, and no warranty outside USA.

5G may not work outside USA you will have to check the tech specs.
