No notification alert after updating IOS 15.4.1

I got my iPhone updated yesterday(4/8/2022) to IOS 15.4.1. After the update I am not getting notification alert for any of my apps like Instagram, whatsapp ,Facebook etc I get notification alert only from messages. I even reset my whole settings still nothing. Is anyone facing the same?? Is there a fix or it’s a bug in IOS 15.4.1????

Bharath_kiran,

To confirm, did you try deleting and reinstalling WhatsApp to see if this resolves the notification issue?

If you've completed this, please reach out to Apple directly: Contact Apple Support

Cheers.

Greetings Bharath_kiran,

Thanks for participating in the Apple Support Communities!

Since you're only getting notifications with Messages, this could be related to a Focus status being enabled or other notification settings. If you're unsure if this is related to a Focus status being enabled, check out the following resource to see if that could be what's occurring: Use Focus on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you determine that Focus isn't in use when this occurs, let's check the notification settings. Be sure you don't have a Scheduled Summary set to notify you at certain times of your notifications as outlined below. Check out additional information for notifications here: Use notifications on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

To schedule a notification summary:

1. Go to Settings > Notifications > Scheduled Summary, then turn on Scheduled Summary.
2. Under Apps in Summary, select the apps that you want to include in your notification summary.
3. Under Schedule, tap the Add button  to add a new schedule or the Remove button  to remove a schedule. Then adjust the time for each scheduled summary you have set up.

We hope that information is able to help with clearing up what you're experiencing.

Have a great day!

Bharath_kiran,

We appreciate the additional information. If you tap Settings and scroll down to locate the app, do you see Notification settings there? Also, after updating the software did you install app updates? If not, do that now to see if that helps to resolve this issue: How to manually update apps on your Apple device

In addition to the above, make sure the app is open and you haven't closed it by using the App switcher and that Background App Refresh is on for those apps. That can be done by tapping Settings > General > Background App Refresh. More information can be found in the following guide, just in case: Switch apps on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Let us know how it goes.

Take care.

Bharath_kiran,

Thanks for taking a look at those additional steps.

From here, does the issue persist after restarting your iPhone? If unsure, give that try with the steps in this next resource: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

If still having issues after restarting your iPhone, and since the issue is only occurring with third-party apps, we would recommend reaching out to the app developers. They'll be the best option to provide additional information and possible troubleshooting steps for their respected apps.

For help with reaching out to the app developers check out this next link here: How to contact an app developer - Apple Support

Best regards.

Also whatsapp is not showing up there I have more than 50 apps in my iPhone but only below apps are showing in settings > notifications

Hi brandon_J_321 thank you for your suggestions, I haven’t turned on focus and I don’t want a notification summary to be scheduled, all I want is to alert me when I receive a whatsapp message or an instagram notification the issue here is most of my application installed is not even showing up in settings>notification hence I am not even getting any alert and none of the notifications are appearing in banner except Meg gate to messages!! This issue started happening when I upgraded to iOS 15.4.1!!! Can my iPhone be back to normal? Its really frustrating to go to each and every app to check if I got any pings or text. I have tried everything in the wiki link u have shared.

Hi, tried restarting but still persist!! I have 50+ apps in my iPhone with the same issue how can I reach out to all of them is ther a way I can reach out to iOS developer of Apple ?? Also by looking at the ways the notification are acting it seems the apps are not refreshing in background even though it’s on. Apps gets refreshed when I open them is it possible a bug in app background refresh might cause this issue?
