my apple ear pods won't connect to my mac book pro. They have connected in the past.

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! Are you using wired EarPods with your MacBook Pro or are you using AirPods paired with your MacBook wirelessly?

If you are using wired headphone, you'll want to check for any damage to the EarPods and confirm that they are firmly connected to your MacBook Pro. You can also test them with another device to isolate this issue to either the EarPods themselves or the MacBook.

If you are using AirPods, make sure your Mac is up to date running the latest macOS available for the model. You can confirm if there is any update to install by going to the Apple Menu (  ) > System Preferences > Software Updates.

You can also reset your AirPods by putting them in the charging case, closing the lid and waiting 30 seconds. After that, open the lid, press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds until the status light flashes amber then white.
