Hi,
Since the latest driver available for download for the Xerox Phaser 6180MFP appears to be for OS X 10.11 El Capitan, you may want to check whether it would be possible to use generic (PCL?) printer software when adding the printer under macOS Monterey.
Monterey 12.3.1 broke my Fiji Xerox printer.
I tried the latest drivers - no help.
In the end, resorting to the Generic PCL laser printer driver worked.
A temp fix till Apple or Xerox release a fix.

Have you checked with Xerox for a solution?
Even wiser, if it is a network printer, use it's IP address to set it up.
