Apple Maps very slow on iPad 9

I recently bought a iPad 9 64GB non-cellular. Latest iOS as of today installed. Apple maps and apps using apple maps are very slow to update the map when browsing around or zooming in / out.

I do not have very much installed on this iPad.

I have done a forced restart.

I have reset network settings.

Other map products are responding quickly.

My other devices: iPhone 11pro, iPhone 13pro, iPad Pro 2017, do not have this issue.

My iPad 9 is faster than the iPad Pro 2017, which is measured in benchmark app and speedtest (on a 350/350 Gb connection).

Is there an issue with the iPad 9 that will make apple maps considerable (and sometimes not usable) slower on the iPad 9?
