If you have an engineering business you know the importance of listing your computer requirements then evaluating available options that meet those requirements. Saying you have an engineering business then asking strangers which computer to get seems like a process that will not provide satisfactory results.

What software are you using on your Dell? There's no guarantee you can find the same software for the Mac.

If you're planning on running Windows apps right on, you're going to need a Mac than can run virtual machine software. That decision will pay a large role in deciding what to buy.
