Hello, my mac still asks me to sign in to my account with an old e-mail adress. How can I stopp this? I changed my id-account already to my new adress, but it keeps popping up to sign in on the old adress.

If you have changed your ID or password, have you followed the steps in this article? Make sure you turn of Find My Phone before signing out of the old ID. Once signed out and Find My Phone is off, then sign in with the new ID, then turn Find My Phone back on.

We are not folks that work for Apple. We are other users, like you. We cannot fix this for you.

You write that you have changed Apple,IDs. Did you start using a new or different one? Or did you edit the existing Apple ID to redirect it from an iCloud address to a Comcast address?

If you're using two Apple IDs… You will need to recover access to that Apple ID, if you want access to whatever is associated with that Apple ID. If this Apple ID is associated with Activation Lock for instance, you will need that Apple ID and password, or proof of original purchase showing the serial number, or similar paperwork. If this is some app purchased with the other Apple ID, delete it, and re-purchase it from the Apple ID you want to use.

The usual approach for swapping an Apple ID is to reset the device or the Mac, and to start over. Either wholesale (iPhone, iPad, Mac), or with a separate login (Mac).

Otherwise, you get to find the content associated with the old Apple ID, and there’s no good way to do that.

(Backups can sometimes be used to detect apps and content associated with a different Apple ID, though that method is indirect. And doesn’t work all that well.)

Here? There likely still exists one or more apps or content still linked with the old Apple ID.

This all because apps and content are not transferable.

You’ll need to delete and re-download apps and content using the new Apple ID.
