Will it work with a SENIOR Clipper Card now?

Will it work with a SENIOR Clipper Card now? I added my SENIOR card once about a year ago and after 20-30 rides, it stopped working and I had to go to a MUNI office to get a physical card again, because once you transfer it to the wallet, the physical card won't work any longer. I was told they were having problems. Now, I'm afraid to try it again, for fear it won't work and I'll get stuck or have to pay.

Thanks for taking the time Chris,

Yes, I did discuss the issue with MUNI. I believe I mentioned, they (MUNI) told me to wait a year or so, because the technology was "glitchy". I always have the newest iPhone - at that time it was an iPhone 12 Pro and the OS is always up to date, so I don't think it was the phone. The watch was an Apple Watch Series 6 also with current OS. I tried it on several different busses and once on a ferry, so it wasn't the "readers". My reference to "they" was MUNI or the developers of the software. Again, this was all a year or so ago.

Yesterday, I decided to take a chance and add the card to my Wallet and it loaded and correctly transferred my balance over, so fingers crossed it works long term.

I loved how easy it was to use a year or so ago, and hope the "glitchy" part is history.

I teach seniors at Aquatic Park Senior Center how to use iPhones every Tuesday 2-3:30 on a volunteer basis. I saw the announcement I got about adding the card to the Wallet and included it in my Keynote on Tuesday, BUT told the class to wait until I tried it first.

Wish me luck.

Randy

I've seen it both ways. When I've gotten the email about checking in, once that was verified, I was able to then choose how to get my boarding passes, in print or to add to the Apple Wallet. However, I've been using the airline's app ever since, and once I check in on the app, it shows the button to get the boarding passes added to the Wallet. Double-check with the airline, they have to be used to questions like that. Good luck.

Okay, good luck. I understand how things can be, and I witnessed the beginning rollouts of Apple Pay and how the stores here in my rural part of Illinois took forever to get new readers that would take the Apple Pay. Now, I find that it is strange to find one that doesn't. The part I like the most when it comes to the Watch is the ability to load my airline boarding passes and just having to walk to the gate, then when they start boarding to just tap my Watch, flip my wrist over so I can face the screen down and keep walking! Take care.

Thanks again. I really appreciate your help. BTW, I've had several of my senior students ask how to get their plane tix onto the Wallet. I thought you had to use the airline app. Am I missing something? I'd love to know more about how to do it? I'm going to Europe via Air France and returning on Delta, but when I got the email tickets, there wasn't any place that suggested something like "Add to Apple Wallet". I looked carefully on both. Thoughts?
