Hello domenico92,

Thanks for getting back to us with those additional details. Next, we'd like to see if you experience the same behavior with your MacBook Pro in another user account. You can find information on how to test this here:

Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac

Use the device as you normally would in this user account. Send us an update after some usage on the performance, and we'll move on from there.

In the meantime, are you still having issues playing videos on Safari?

We'll be waiting for your response. Kind regards.

Thanks I have two distinct problems: the first, I recently bought the new macbook pro 14 "8 core, 16GB, MacBookPro18,3 and the typical use that I am doing so far is the following: I turn on the laptop at 9 am fully charged and disconnected from the power supply and for about 3 hours I follow video streaming or participate in meetings with google Meet. then I have a lunch break and in the afternoon I use normal office automation programs, mailing and so on ... I am not using heavy applications such as Fusion 3D for 3D modeling or for photo or video post processing (ViewNx-i or iVideo ...). At the end of the day, around 5 pm the charge is 15-20%, significantly less than stated! My previous laptop , macbookPro 12.1 lasted longer with similar use.

Second issue is related to videos that open easily with other browsers such as Chrome .. buy with Safary I am forced to reload the page, if I click on the video a pop up opens and the video does not start. I have no extensions and I have already checked the Safari settings and I do not have any active blockers ...I have already set everything that is suggested on the support regarding the health battery to improve autonomy and I often also use the "low battery on" option.

Regards

the diagnostics gave a result without problems and errors .. so I draw these conclusions:

in reality the performances are not as advertised: the laptop has less autonomy than previous macbooks, probably due to a more energy-intensive display and the number of larger processors. for some applications it will be even more performing but I still have to experiment with it.
