Bootcamp installation - checking secure boot settings

Hi all,

So I am trying to install windows using bootcamp and following the guide.

Step 1 states:

1. Check your Secure Boot setting

Learn how to check your Secure Boot setting. The default Secure Boot setting is Full Security. If you changed it to No Security, change it back to Full Security before installing Windows. After installing Windows, you can use any Secure Boot setting without affecting your ability to start up from Windows.

When ever I try to do this the only option get from Utilities > Startup Security Utility is the option to set/change my firmware password and nothing else. I cannot check whether the Secure Boot setting is Full Security.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you

MacBook Pro

Startup Security only shows these options for Macs with a T2 co-processor. Depending on your model of MacBook Pro, your Mac might not support Secure Boot.

The following MacBook models support Secure Boot:

  • MacBook Pro (13-inch, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports, 2018)
  • MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018)
  • MacBook Pro (13-inch, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports, 2019)
  • MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2019)
  • MacBook Pro (13-inch, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports, 2019)
  • MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)
  • MacBook Pro (13-inch, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports, 2020)
  • MacBook Pro (13-inch, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports, 2020)

If your MacBook Pro was introduced in 2017 or earlier, you don't need to change any settings in macOS Recovery to install Windows.
