Apple Studio Display wide angle camera only shows half of my face during Google Meet video conference

Hi, Apple Technical Support team,

I just received my new Apple Studio Display this afternoon, and felt excited of setting it up for video conference with my friend through Google Meet (https://meet.google.com/), all the sudden I found the video image only showed half of my face, compared with my previous LG 5K Display camera, this is definitely not right. I tried a few times, unless I rotated the display downward a lot to make the display inclining to me or move a lot further away from the display, otherwise as long as I sit normal in front of the display the video image can't show my full face. (eyes 55 cm horizontal distance to display upper half zone, table height 73 cm, I am 178 cm height on a 45 cm height chair)

Then I opened Photo Booth, it's even worse - it showed image only above my nose, the Google Meet video image actually refreshed when Photo Booth opened, became the same worse.

I checked the articles in Apple Support webpage, it said my new Studio Display Camera is a 122 degree field of view wide angle camera with center stage, then I tried FaceTime app in Mac, I finally saw the wide angle image and center staging tracking my position.

Then my question is - does this mean Studio display Camera only works properly with Apple's own FaceTime app? You know nowadays we do video conference via multiple tools, it can't be just FaceTime in my humble opinion. I strongly suggest Apple to update at least the wide-angle support of Studio Display Camera to support multiple video conference tools, Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft team, etc.

Go to Control Center in the top right corner of your Menu Bar. You should see a new section called Video Effects. Click that and select Center Stage.

Thank you, this is helpful. I didn't see the "video effects" section early this week, is this newly added these past few days?

Tried "video effects" feature using Google Meet (in Chrome, Mac) :

1) when it's not in position track, the video image is still leaning upward, only shows above my shoulder.

2) when choosing position track, the camera did follows me when I am moving in front of camera and showed almost every corner in my room behind me - truthfully speaking this is weird - in a business meeting this could be a bit distracting for the audience and awkward for the presenter. Or I still need some time to get used to it?

Also, compared with the Logitech Brio 4K Webcam I bought this past Wed, the video image quality is (much) better through the Logitech, and my position is in the middle with above my chest showing in the image - more natural and formal during video business call.

The image quality is truly appalling. I only have six days left before I am not able to return my studio display. I have the same question. Centre stage tracking is distracting, and entirely unnecessary for meetings at your desk. I also don't want the wide screen. My attendees do not need to see my entire room. Since the camera is at a fixed distance, is there no way to adjust the frame - wide or normal, or zoom in and out?
