Logic behind "Recently added" folder in App library

(User coming from Android here)

Big fan of the App Library in iOS. I have come to understand that every app I download, is automatically added to the "Recently added" folder and to the appropriate category folder. However, overtime, I would expect an app to disappear from the "Recently added" folder, since the folder name suggests that should happen. After all, an app is only 'recently added' for X amount of time right?

Does anyone know if there is any logic behind the Recently added folder at all? Or will it indefinitely show all downloaded apps?

iPhone 13, iOS 15
