Shut Down during setup

I got an iPhone X a while back and ended up factory resetting it to get a refresh, now every time i go to setup up a password for it my iPhone shuts down and restarts. I am not sure if it is a battery issue but i never have an issue with it charging or staying on for long periods of time.

Try the following:

▷ Update your iPhone. 📲

If that didn’t help, then try a Hard Reset:

Press volume up (quickly)
Press volume down (quickly)
Press and hold the power button until the Apple logo ( ) appears

If that didn’t work, it could be a hardware issue. ⚠️
