Studio Display Compatibility beyond Apple

Is the Studio Display compatible with non apple products? For instance, if you use the proper dongles, can you use the display for a nintendo switch or a blu ray player?

The display requires a Thunderbolt connection which your other hardware does not I expect and an operating system of 12.3 or greater.

I have a MBP I was going to connect with the Thunderbolt port, but can I not use the three USB-C ports with a dongle to connect other things?

Edit: now I see that it says they are downstream ports - does that mean I could only connect then to things like keyboards and a mouse?
