I bought a new device and I was not able to recall my password I went through forgot password steps and end up with a frozen screen. This screen is not going away and not allowing me to re type my password. Please help.

Try a forced restart.
• Press and quickly release the volume up button
• Press and quickly release the volume down button
• Press and hold the side button.
• When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
