Stop getting texts messages from email addresses

annoying spam issue

I tried the below from a previous inquiry

If you would like to block an email address from texting you go to Settings > Messages > Filter unknown senders

but it didn’t work

does any have any other tips? Appreciate it, thanks

Blocking a a Spam Text from a Spammer at the beginning I have read every single suggestion on there on how to block spam text to the Message app on iPhone. Let me first say up front the Apple suggestion to go the the Message section in Settings and to "Filter unknown Senders" does not work at all. I get 10-50 spam text emails per day and it is getting worse. Second, the Apple suggestion to block the call via "Hide Alerts" also does not work at all. I have over 500 blocked texters and I still get 5-25 texts per day on senders I have previously blocked. It is time for Apple to allow it users to truly block texts other than from those in your address book. Is that asking too much? Any other suggestions I am open to....

spam i just wanna know why it is 2022 and we dont have the ability to stop spam texts. i have literally never once received a text msg from an email address that wasnt spam. why is there not an option to turn off and auto block all incoming email texts? with the spam getting more and more rampant every day since like 2010 it baffles me that apple has not come up with a solution to this yet. i get between 4-8 spam msgs a day and even more robo/spam phone calls. i have all the filtering on but as someone with ocd and seeing the blue icon with unread msgs is very mentally unsettling for a person like myself.

Option to block text senders is not present below messages I have been getting a lot of spam texts lately. According to the information I have searched on the web, I am supposed to click on the message and select "block sender." However, the option to block the sender of a text message is not present below the unsolicited text from someone not on my contact list. How can I fix this issue?

If your carrier offers an email-to-text service as some do, work with the carrier website settings or directly with carrier support to disable that.
