iCloud+ and a custom domain for email addresses

Only 3 personalized email addresses per domain? My family is bigger than that, it should be 5, just like the family sharing limit! Where did they come up with 3 per domain?

That limit is 3 addresses per person, so it's not that bad.

According to the support page Use Custom Email Domain with iCloud Mail - Apple Support

If you share iCloud+ with your Family Sharing group, you can also share your custom domain and assign personalized email addresses to members of your Family Sharing group.

Not sure if that is in addition to the "3 personalised email addresses"

Actually, it should be 6, the main account + sharing with 5 others, just like family sharing.
