Why is my iPhone stuck in landscape, screen isn’t locked, there’s no place to reply, & rotating phone sideways does nothing.

Hi, Rogermacrogers. If the rotation isn't locked like you mentioned, and it still won't rotate, it could be a physical issue with your device.
We'd recommend restarting your iPhone, just to make sure it isn't some sort of temporary issue: Restart your iPhone
If it still happens after that, we'd recommend reaching out to Apple to see if they can check your hardware and make sure it's working properly: Get Support
