I'm trying to reset my password on my Mac and I'm getting the error message "there was an error connecting the Apple ID server" in recovery assistant. Even though I'm using the correct apple id and password?

Hey Allisonjw01,
First, we'd suggest ensuring your Mac is connected to the internet.
If that doesn't help, we'd suggest opening Safari in recovery by choosing the "Get Help Online" option. Then go to appleid.apple.com and sign into the account. Do not make any changes, but after one minute quit Safari and try resetting the password again.
