I am trying to install Monterey on a 2018 mini with Mojave on it. Gives an error message that the is not enough space. Anyone know what the fix is?

Free up a minimum of 26GB. See the following from How to upgrade to macOS Monterey - Apple Support

If upgrading from macOS Sierra or later, your Mac needs 26GB of available storage to upgrade. If upgrading from an earlier release, your Mac needs up to 44GB of available storage.
