How can password protected dmg file to disappear after upgrade to Monterey?

Have you searched for it? An upgrade always seems to involve some files being moved. Usually there's a folder on the upgraded Desktop that has information on relocated data.


I suggest you use Spotlight to search for the file. You don't need a full file name, a partial will work and you can search for .dmg to find them all.
