I don’t get why the mute button on the side of the phone is connected with sound on games but it is and I’d like to disconnect(?) it. I like having my phone on mute but it’s annoying to have to unmute it every time I want to play a game.

Currently, the Ring/Silent switch will mute incoming calls, messages, and notification sounds, as well as sounds for games. This means if you have the switch engaged to Silent, only audio from videos, music, or alarms will be heard.
