SOLVED! Can't get GMail added to MacBook M1 Pro Monterey after transfer from MacBook Pro late 2015 using Migration Assistant

Eventually, after almost the entire afternoon, I found my way to location services and enabled locations services for time zone services and tried again... successfully. It seems, that although the Mac I transferred my files from using Migration Assistant had Gmail, added to Apple Mail, some settings might not have transferred and perhaps this was one of them.

Hope this helps someone who's upgraded from older MacBooks to an M1 avoid the frustrations.

It might be more useful if you clarify how you got to: " I found my way to location services..."
