Sidecar on iPad is glitching out

Recently when using the sidecar option with my iPad and MacBook Pro, my iPad begins to glitch out and will either connect but then freeze or it will say it's connected but the screen is pink, purple or black. The MacBook Pro is a 2020 13-inch and the iPad Pro is an 11-inch 2019 model. Attached below is a picture of one of the black screen I get occasionally. I have tried using cellular and wifi with my iPad as well as make sure both devices are fully up to date. However, despite trying all of that, I am still suffering from this problem and it is slowly becoming worse and worse and to the point where I can't even use the sidecar option. If anyone has any idea of how to fix this problem, that would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Hello there eleni233,

Thanks for posting here on the Apple Support Communities! This is a place where other Apple users can submit questions or respond to others to help lend a hand. Let's take a closer look as we do our best to provide some additional insight.

To get started, does this also happen while using Sidecar wirelessly or does it only happen with a USB Sidecar connection as mentioned here? Use an iPad as a second display for a Mac

If it only happens with a USB connection, try using another cable and a different port on your Mac. In the meantime, does this keep happening after a restart of both devices, or if you try to test your iPad with another compatible Mac? That can help us isolate things further to a specific device.

We hope this helps get you pointed in the right direction.

Take care.
