Find My
Using Find My, Location of lost iPhone is stuck at same date & time. It does not refresh, even if only to update it is still at same location. What does that indicate? Also, if I erase iPhone, can I still use Find My for location? Thanks!

Yes, assuming it’s current regarding iOS. See item 5 here.

Locating Lost Devices:
Two Things...
Backtrack your Location:
I. Use of Find My: Use the Find My App to Locate a Missing Device or Item - Apple Support
If Find My was enabled with these, then you may be able to find them there. Note that this is based off of the last time the device they were connected to was itself connected to the internet. This is because they do not have their own IP Address. So, use a site like Mapquest to backtrack to this location.
II. If Find My is Not an Option:
A. Backtrack your Locations:
Do it the olde fashioned way and backtrack your locations. For instance, if you were at a retail store, then stop in, asking the store manger if it was placed aside.
B. Lost-&-Found:
Chick with the Lost & Found department of the facility you were in, seeing if it has been handed over.
C. Contact Local Authorities:
See if the community police, or local security guards at the front door, can across it.
D. Use Craigslist:
Put a post on Craigslist, seeing if they have been found.

Find My not Showing Up Correctly:
It is showing you the last place it was seen, when it had access to Apple's servers. Being nothing has changed, then that indicates no syncing has occurred. So, likely, the battery has died, or it is just not powered on. If you erase it, then Find My would not be an option, as it needs to be unlocked.
Thanks for clarification. Have since determined I had used iPhone following day when back in Bay Area my (vs last known location on Find My). I still don’t understand why last known location remained fixed instead of changing as iPhone moved. My prior experience has been that as long as it had battery, location changed accordingly. Is there a way to access the most recent location history?
