iPadOs 15.4.1 drains the battery of my iPad Pro 11” M1 faster

I read on different articles that back when iPadOS 15.4 came out, a lot of reported concerns emerged where they mentioned that this update drains their battery faster than usual. But then when iPadOS 15.4.1 came, apple claimed that it has fixed the battery drain problem.

However, the thing is, I experienced a different scenario from what is stated above. Back when iPadOs 15.4 came out, the battery of my iPad Pro remained the same. But when I updated it to 15.4.1 the problem with battery draining happened to my iPad. What should I do to solve this? I need answers desperately.

Having performed a software update, temporarily higher than normal battery utilisation is anticipated while many housekeeping tasks (such as re-indexing) are completed in the background. Normal performance should return within a few days.

Otherwise, you may find that a forced-restart of your iPad will restore nominal performance:

  • On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
  • On other iPad models: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
