Apple Watch messages delete

Why do iMessages that are deleted on your iPhone still not delete from your Apple Watch simultaneously?? This has been an issue for years yet still has not been fixed! Unbelievable. I am still stuck manually deleting messages on my Apple Watch. Apple knows this has been an issue for years but has yet to fix it which leaves me questioning their commitment to their consumer base. This might be the push I need to get out of the Apple ecosystem 🤦🏻‍♂️
