My computer is running very slow, I think since the update....is there a way to uninstall or clear out space on my MacBook without being a computer genius?

you can purchase an external HDD or SSD of sufficient capacity and move your larger files (videos, pictures, documents, etc...) to it. once they are on the EHD, you can simply erase the same files from your internal drive. and, if it's just going to be used for storage, you can use an HDD and save a few bucks over the cost of an SSD. FWIW, i personally keep very little on my internal drive.
Thanks for the link. My storage reads 115 GB of 250 GB used, so I think I have plenty of space. But since the last update its slooooow. Is there a way to uninstall that update to see if it helps bring it back to normal .....
No, there is no way to uninstall an update.
