when i use the screenshot app i usually just use the "command-shift-5" keyboard combination to bring up the controls. but i just tested it by going to Applications > Utilities > Screenshot, and by double clicking "screenshot", i was presented with the same controls.
so i need to ask, do you have any software installed as advertised to "speed up", "clean up", or "organize" your mac? and / or any antivirus software?
I think if it does not work you can say Siri take a screenshot
Thank you. Those instructions show that clicking on the square "record" icon makes the "record" button to appear along and allows for microphone options.
Problem solved. See my response to dialabrain.
i'm glad to hear that you've got it figured out. :)
