Plugging ethernet cable into Mac book air 2020

Have to plug ethernet cable into USB dongel, an into another dongle, then into MBAir. This does not work. No internet comes through. I tested the cable in another machine (an older iMAC with a direct usb port) and it works well.

what is the best way to plug an ethernet cable into my Mac Book Air 2020 (the one with only the tiny usb c inputs)??

new mac book air and gigabyte ethernet Hi All, is it possible to connect a newer mac book air that just has 2 lightning ports, nothing else, to a network via an ethernet cable. The only adapter cables I can find have either thunderbolt/ethernet or lightning USB. I want a ethernet to lightning but do these newer mac airs even support ethernet connections? thanks Sonvolt55

I have a 2020 Mac Book pro with USB-C ports. I want to purchase an adapter that connects my laptop to an ethernet port. The Thunderhbolt Gigabit Ethernet Adapters is not the right connector to my Mac Book Pro? What is the right adapter to connect. Thunderbolt Gigabit Ethernet Adapter is not correct to connect Mac Book Pro USB-c to Ethernet. What is the correct adapter?
