Can I prevent a child form changing certain contacts?

My child keeps messing with contact's info. I still want them to be able to add their friends but not change important contacts I have put in, like parents and emergency contacts. (note this is for a 10 year old).

Thanks

You can setup Screen Time passcode if you have not done so. After that open Settings ➡️ Screen Time ➡️ Communication Limite ➡️ Allow Contacts Editing: Set this to OFF. Now, when someone needs to change the contact information, they will require to enter the Screen Time passcode. The other thing to note is that the Screen Time passcode will be required to add or remove contacts as well. This means that only you will be able to edit, add or remove contacts on your child’s iPhone with this setting.

Keep Account Access to Yourself:

Yes. Don't grant them permission to use your Apple Account. Keep your devices out of their hands. This is a pure example as to why not to share your Apple Account with anyone whomsoever (family member, or another).
