Moving Garageband UNFINISHED tracks from mid 2013 mac air to late 2014 mac mini

How do I move my Garageband UNFINISHED tracks from my mid 2013 MAC AIR running BIG SUR to my late 2014 MAC MINI running MONTEREY? When I go to GB, under SHARE - EXPORT SONG TO DISK - i have to choose either AAC, MP3, AIFF, or WAVE? Which do I choose? How am I supposed to know which one to choose? - Also i need to choose the quality. LOW, MID, HIGH, or HIGHEST. Default is HIGH but should I change it to HIGHEST? Sorry I literally have no clue here.:( - OR is this even the correct way to do this? - I have read somewhere that I could AIR them over from one mac's GB to the other mac's GB. Would that be as simple as it sounds?(Guess that way just sounds to good to be true?) Or is that only for finished mixed ready to share with the world songs? Because again, I am only like halfway finished with the songs. I want to move them because of the lack of ram on my AIR. - Sorry I am relatively new using MAC products and hope this was enough info to relay my question? - Thx and any help at all will greatly appreciated!

Your "unfinished tracks" are GarageBand projects you want to continue to work on in GarageBand on your new Mac?

Then I would copy the garageBand projects to the new Mac, the files with the filename extension .band, and not share them as a song.

You could simply copy the projects to iCloud Drive, if you are using iCloud, to copy the projects to your new Mac. Or copy them to a USB stick.

To work with the old projects on the new Mac, you need copies of the interment library and the loops from the old Mac. Did you migrate all content of the old Mac, when you set up the new Mac or did you make a clean install? The current version of Garageband does not have all loops and sounds, that you may have used on the old Mac. You may need to copy missing instruments and sounds over from the old Mac.

You need a copy - do not move the original band file to the new Mac, but create a copy. Once the GarageBand project has been opened in a newer version of GarageBand you can no longer open it on your old Mac in the older version.

Hi! Thanks for the reply! - I did a clean install. - My AIR just didn't have enough ram so I got this used MINI. Not knowing about this stuff yet I assumed I could just copy them and load it into GB. - So anyway I tried the SHARE thing for each track then copied off the AIR to a USB but when I tried to copy the tracks into GB on the MINI off the USB it didn't work.

Am I supposed to first put them on the MINI ssd somewhere before I drag them to the MINI's GB? (I just thought of trying that as I was typing?) Sorry, I'm just not getting something here? Also I renamed each one of the tracks files so I could recognize each one. Is that a big no-no? As in What shoud the file end with and include and exclude? I may be putting something in the title that's not accepted? idk? Any additional info will be appreciated! Thanks again!
