iPhone overheating when charging in iOS 15.4.1

On iOS 15.4.1, my iPhone 11 is overheating when charging. It started happening on iOS 15.4, so I updated to 15.4.1 (which was meant to fix the issue, but didn’t)

Hey Jackamo6200!

How long ago did you complete the update to iOS 15.4.1? As mentioned above, some heat while charging is normal.

Do you also notice some heat while using the iPhone when not charging?

Regards.

Hi Jackamo6200,

Are you seeing an alert that the iPhone is overheating when it's connected to the charger? If so, are you using the charger and cable that came with your iPhone? It's normally for the iPhone to get warmer when it's connected to the charger, but you shouldn't be seeing a temperature warning while it's connected to the charger unless the iPhone is in direct sunlight.

You can try

1. Reset network settings once (All Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/ Connection settings will be gone and you have to reconfigure)

Settings > General > Transfer or Reset > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

2) if it didn’t work, reset all settings (Removes all configured Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Privacy, General, Sounds, Brightness, Wallpaper, Notifications, etc settings which you have to reconfigure.

Settings > General > Transfer or Reset > Reset > Reset All Settings

Let know if it works
