Getting "server is not responding" or "the site can't be reached" in my iPhone

Very frequently when I am searching or reading on the internet and I click a link, I will get a long delay and then a message that the "server is not respnoding" or that "the site can't be reached. This is often enough that the Iphone essentially renders itself useless. I have an iphone11 with unlimited data. This should not be happening.
