Interference on iPhone calls

For several months I have had severe and bizarre interference on my iphone11. It's so loud you can't speak to the other person. There are multiple sounds. Some sound like a single guitar note being plucked loudly, then there are squeaks and screeches and then it sounds like choppy chatter. It's driving me nuts. No reason to pay for it, that's for sure. Anybody else have this?
