14in M1 max Delivery Delays?!

I ordered my laptop through Apple website, in early February and the order said it would deliver around the end of March. Towards the end of March, the order status page changed to the end of April and I was upset and talked to Apple support and was reassured it would come at the end of April. Now my order status has changed again to June 14th! I am not sure if there is a supply shortage or if anyone knows anything but what is going on? I need my laptop for a course I am taking in the month of May and now I don't know what to do. If anyone has any info on the situation with the M1 max's please let me know. Thank you!

Global supply chain issues—don't feel alone. This is on par from what I have seen—late June.

You can cancel your order anytime before it moves to shipping.

As mentioned above—I have had great luck with the refurbs/clearance/open box returns. They all go through testing and generic re-boxing. Same one yr- limited warranty as new. Certified Refurbished Products - Apple

The inventory can change daily/hourly. These are in stock items and typically at your doorstep in 24-48 hrs.

So I dont know if my posts here have angered the apple gods but now when I go online to check the status of my order it is gone - the order number cannot be found……………….. after three months of waiting I really hope that it has not self destructed and I do need to start all over again! Maybe something is happening and I am going to get charged and notified it has shipped.. or maybe it is a disaster??

Ok so now after this much time passed I want to see a counter showing how many computers need to be built before mine because this is killing me. Apple has high tech processes and facilities... they must be able to do better than saying its "processing" (order placed 3rd Fed mbp 14 max 24gpu 1tb ssd 64gb ram) until its ready to be shipped. At least if there was a counter showing how many units until mine is built it would be steadily counting down showing some progress.

Also I see in another thread someone's mbp ordered Feb 10 is now shipped with 20 may delivery. Great fortune to them but that really hurts... I get it ..the covid and the riots and human rights and working conditions and lockdowns and shortage. But where is the considered planning and risk management as some here have mentioned and above all, if we find ourselves in unprecedented times- where is the creative and considered response to this situation?

My laptop is for work use so it has been salary sacrificed from my wages. So I have had $750 a ft taken from my wage to be returned to me on the production of a receipt for the computer I have purchased

Computer was ordered 3rd Feb. So I have had nearly $5000 taken out of pay but because Apple won't give me an invoice or charge the credit card untill the computer ships I am just really needing some proof of concept at this point.

Thanks team, hang in there

The number would about 47,000 a DAY. PROVIDED the factory starts running now at full scale and can ship without delays, and assuming the lead time to the END of the predicted delivery window is eight weeks:

So that counter would read 2,800,000 units to be built before yours.

I do not see how that number helps you feel any better.

Yes I read that, but I didn’t see a news article about it, or have any frame of reference for when it happened, or have the name of the city so I can independently check on it. It’s hearsay, which gives peace of mind for a bit but doesn’t just cure anxiety.

I mean for all I know, that could have happened in December of last year, well before I ordered my mac. And then it wouldn’t be a viable excuse because I would have been quoted an incorrect delivery date from the start.

Now my biggest worry is that they’ll announce a MBP refresh in June, maybe even with lower prices, right after my return window ends. Ughhh.

How would that be any different than if yours had arrived in February and a new one was announced in June? There would still be a newer, cheaper one than you have.

The bottom line is that there is always going to be something shiner released after you buy a piece of tech. But, if you buy what meets your needs, it will still meet your needs after the new thing has been released.

I disagree. Sharing this let’s other people who are also in same situation feel like they are not alone in frustration.

ordered 16” max and it’s been delayed to June. I’m sad about it and don’t care that you don’t care 🤷🏾‍♂️

Would you be happier if we gave you false information? Information we do not have access to but can fabricate so you'll feel better?

That's the only alternative. And frankly, I just don't spread lies and innuendo just because it will makes someone feel better. But as is the usual case, YMMV.

Hey just out of curiosity has anyone who ordered a CTO mb pro M1 actually received their delivery yet? If so how long was the delay for you?

I figure if anyone can tell us how long theirs was delayed for it may provide a guide for others (myself included) on how long we should expect to be waiting in real world terms without feeling the need to be anise with Apple.
