14in M1 max Delivery Delays?!

I ordered my laptop through Apple website, in early February and the order said it would deliver around the end of March. Towards the end of March, the order status page changed to the end of April and I was upset and talked to Apple support and was reassured it would come at the end of April. Now my order status has changed again to June 14th! I am not sure if there is a supply shortage or if anyone knows anything but what is going on? I need my laptop for a course I am taking in the month of May and now I don't know what to do. If anyone has any info on the situation with the M1 max's please let me know. Thank you!

Global supply chain issues—don't feel alone. This is on par from what I have seen—late June.

You can cancel your order anytime before it moves to shipping.

As mentioned above—I have had great luck with the refurbs/clearance/open box returns. They all go through testing and generic re-boxing. Same one yr- limited warranty as new. Certified Refurbished Products - Apple

The inventory can change daily/hourly. These are in stock items and typically at your doorstep in 24-48 hrs.

Same here.

I posted something very similar to yours and Apple removed my post claiming it was a ‘poll’!

I ordered my custom Macbook Pro around Feb 4th and the estimated delivery was updated a few times. It says late June now. Almost 180 days to deliver a Macbook Pro. The new ones will be coming soon. Besides, Apple charged my card a few times and refunded the money. The full amount was probably gone from my account for more than a couple weeks in total!

In my opinion there is no other laptop like it but I wish Apple would give more details as Im worried it might get pushed back for a third or fourth time!

The late delivery didn't bother me as much as Apple removing my post did.

Well, these are technical forums and not really meant for complaining about Apple's ordering/shipping processes. Apple cannot do anything about China's COVID lockdown or worldwide supply or shipping delays and complaining about it to other users is neither helpful nor will it speed up the re-opening of China. It also violates the ToU and yes, the hosts will remove a post if it is in violation.

Thanks for saying something that was NOT derogatory!

Senior contributors who dare to explain why systems are delayed keep getting beaten up by irate posters, as if they were somehow personally responsible for these unprecedented and completely unpredictable delays. Or told that Apple is a bunch of incompetent cheats, who should be doing, much much more to resolve this situation.

Your message is REALLY a breath of fresh air! It makes it all more bearable!

"FWIW, "internet chatter" is not a good way to get facts." So true.

The ultimate "chatter" is what Apple tells you the last time you talked with them as things do change so rapidly. As frustrating as it obviously is, a corporation the size of Apple knows what it's talking about. And they are trying their best to keep their sales numbers up.
