Removing old Apple ID from AirTag

I purchased an AirTag second hand, and the original owner hadn’t removed there Apple ID. They’ve since blocked me and I can not get in touch with them…. Help please.

Yes I have read that. But according to Apple (I took my comment from this page: How to reset your AirTag - Apple Support )

its not possible to reset it without the previous owner removed it from their Apple ID i'm afraid.

An Airtag kan only be used with 1 Apple Id. If you want to use an AirTag that someone else has used, they need to remove the AirTag from their Apple ID first.

I’m unable to get in contact with the original owner as they’ve blocked me, I stated this in my original post.
