San Francisco font not displaying correctly

San Francisco and other UI fonts do not seem to be optimized for Ticuna, as some characters display incorrectly with extra spacing. An example is attached, the issue is specifically between the saltillo and other characters. Is it possible to substitute out the font for one with the correct display for Ticura?

This does not seem to be an app specific issue but a font issue. This is a universal problem in all applications regardless of region or language.

That Web page seems to use Noto Sans web font.

If you add that font to your machine, you can get the same kind of display locally when you choose it.

Are you referring to the character U+A7BC Latin small letter Saltillo? This is a very rare character and is only available in a tiny number of fonts at all.

Could you provide pictures of how a those Ticuna words are supposed to look? If I type the last word in your picture here it displays as: Guꞌü. Do you know of some font that would display it differently?

Is there an online reference regarding the use of this character in Ticuna? I don't see it mentioned in Wikipedia, for example.

PS Sorry, wrong number for Saltillo, it should be A78C. I gather that "x" is often used instead?

If so, it may be they are using a web font. You might ask them what font they are using.
