Latest iPad update, how to uninstall

Hello, this is my first time in this community. Up to now I have had no issues with my iPad.

I wonder if anyone can help with my problem. I have an iPad 8th generation and it recently installed (it was plugged in) an update iOS 15.4.1

the update is full of very irritating bugs especially if I use chrome as my default browser. I’m having issues with any or all videos not going full screen. Also translation issues, which is a big issue since I live in Portugal, and do not yet have a good grasp of the language. and there’s more, like unresponsive keyboard etc. etc.. I would like to go back to where I was until these bugs are fixed

I have tried all the advice to find the update in iPad storage and delete it, but it simply is not there. It is not in the list of apps. It is clear that it was updated but how to uninstall the update is quite beyond me. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Unfortunately there is no way to uninstall an iPadOS update.

However, the bugs you describe are not a general occurrence, so there must be something off with the particular installation of your iPad.

The best thing to do, is to restore the iPad to Factory Settings and set it up again,. This normally clears of any issues or bugs it may have. It will not remove the update however.

As with all iOS/iPadOS updates, you’ll not be able to restore an earlier version of iOS/iPadOS than is currently installed.

All System Updates are digitally signed by Apple - and can only be installed whilst the digital signatures remain valid. After release of a new iOS/iPadOS version, the immediately preceding version continues to be digitally signed by Apple - however, usually within a few days, as now, Apple will revoke the digital certificate with which the earlier version is signed.
